'National Enterprise Forum' launched in BMICH

'National Enterprise Forum' launched in BMICH

The National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) under the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Enterprise Development (NEDA) unveiled the 'National Enterprise Forum' at BMICH today.

The main objective of this National Entrepreneurship Forum was to find solutions for the problems faced by the entrepreneurs and uplift them. This Forum was set up to provide the necessary background so that the NEDA could take the lead in encouraging entrepreneurs to act as a mediator in solving the problems faced by entrepreneurs.

Ministry officials, government officials, private institutions, government and private banks, representatives of entrepreneurs and representatives of various stakeholders participated in this event. Entrepreneurs were able to present their problems at the same time and the relevant parties responded immediately. It was also decided to meet once every two months and review the progress.

The Minister also launched a website called the National Enterprise Forum (NEF). Monti Ranatunga, Secretary to the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Enterprise Development, Anushka Gunasinghe, Chairman and Director General of the National Enterprise Development Authority, NEDA officials and entrepreneurs were also present.
