(In Collaboration with ILO and PASS Asia)
To support sustainable growth for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), NEDA partnered with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and PASS Asia under the “UPLIFT” project. This initiative focuses on aiding migrant returnees and communities in vulnerable situations by enhancing their skills, promoting safe migration, and fostering economic resilience.
As part of UPLIFT, a capacity-building program was organized on August 21, 2024, at the Subasinghe Conference Hall, Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research & Training Institute. This program aimed to strengthen market linkages for SME producers, ensuring consistent economic participation by women and migrant returnees in Sri Lanka. The training provided NEDA officers, including headquarters and regional staff, with the tools to better serve the MSME sector.
